hmmm

Just a few hair bows I created, notice the packer bow? awww :)

Not much is new here...still keeping busy with Isabelle. Which is a work out in and of itself. The girl is non stop, NON STOPPPPPPP! I have been extremely lazy; my ambition to run and bike has gone out of the window completely. I think I have worked out maybe 3 times in the last week. My work out is Isabelle and just going on a long walk, have I mentioned I am just ready to go back to Wisconsin? Still crafting which means putting all my arts and crafts to good use. Last Monday was craft day again; and we made LOTS and LOTS of hair bows.It was fun and so was the company.
Other than that, not much is going on. I am very ready to go home for my best friend's wedding which is the 9th. The beautiful fall colors, cool weather, and just being at mom's house is so comforting. Not to mention the fact that every day Isabelle asks for her 'uncoo shesse (Jesse)' as well as Ellie her girlfriend. Skyping is now fun cause she knows her family. She says hi to her Auntie Heather and Grandma and Uncle. Oh and let's not forget the gerbil that they have. She loves to see the gerbil...which she also asks about on a daily bases.

as good as its gonna get

these are just because :)

So Isabelle's bathroom is almost complete. Other than the fact that I can't paint it...The deco is pretty much complete. I am very happy with it; although I am dreaming of the day when I can really design her bathroom. Meaning, when we have our OWN HOME!
So here are a few pictures.

the white jar is a milk glass! courtesy of my grandpa! and the vase is pink glass from the 30's! how cute.

and the teddy bear you see was home made by isabelle's great grandma lea! she is an amazing quilter, seam stress, and then some.

blast from the past

Getting ready to go to our first pumpkin patch!

Laura, Ellie, Isabelle, and I

Last year this time Jake was deployed and I was just returning to Texas from a month stay in Wisconsin. I was lucky enough to go home a month at a time here and there with hunny girl and boy was it always fun!
So reminiscing to a year ago this time: Isabelle was crawling and pulling herself up on everything; saying momma, dadda, up, she could shake her butt to music, and was eating solids! What a big girl I thought she was then. I celebrated my bf's 23rd, and had many a play date with her daughter (Ellie Ruth) who is just 3 months older than our girl. Also, Jake came home for his 2 week R and R the first half of October.

One year later, how life is different. I slept in till 8:30, and was awoken to breakfast in bed. That's right folks, an omelet with bacon on the side and a steaming cup of joe; you can join in the praise now :) It's days like these that I thank God for marrying such a wonderful sweet man, who knows how to spoil me. And Isabelle following behind wanting 'moe moe' of the bacon on my plate :)I am now preparing for fall with my 2 number ones, and this time I have little fingers trying to pluck the berries and beads from my fall arrangements and a husband to make dinner for.

Thank you Lord!
Psalms 106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Oh Wi how I miss you soo

My bf from back home, bought me this amazing charm necklace that I have wanted since last summer :) Since my birthday was in July she hooked it up!
An I for Isabelle, pink pearl, well cause pink is just my fav...and of course the Queen of Hearts :) Isn't it cute, cute, cute??? The maker of this trendy piece is a mother and daughter from northern Wi, every piece is unique. I now have a necklace to call my own...Thanks Laura dearest! My wine partner in crime :)

Funday Monday

Isabelle is repeating anything and everything that comes out of my mouth...here is how a little bit of today went...
I dropped something in between the fridge and counter 'oh shit', Isabelle 'ohh sit'
'Isabelle do you hear the thunder?' 'under, under'
'that's right, a thunderstorm is coming and the thunder goes boom!' 'comin momma comin boom comin.' Then the next 15 minutes as we make our way back into the house, 'coming momma, boom coming, under!' Repeat, repeat, repeat...she's a talker like her momma. Why are all her words repeated twice? hmmm
Putting Isabelle's shoes on, 'no mom'; 'okay, how about these?' Isabelle shakes her head no. Okay 3rd times a charm, 'these?' Apparently her pink flip flops are a must and that's the only shoe or sandal she'll wear without throwing a fit. A nice 'yes' comes out then-I tell ya. Oh and everything that's a 'yes' to hunny girl is now 'yea yea' Clearly I am saying yea a lot and am not even realizing it.

Today was my my first craft n mommy day. My life saver, Aimee, joined me today in making fall and Halloween cards. Between our loot of goodies we made some awesome cards! Now I just have to decide which ones to send to who. Every Monday a few other mom's n I will be getting together to craft new things and just chat while the kiddos play. Next week were are doing hair bows and caramel apples!

There is a chair I have been working on for a couple of years now and will finish it by Halloween I promise. An old wooden chair that used to be grandmother's, the darn things ancient. Slowly but surely I have been covering it in nail polish. Yes, polish. Any color, here and there gooped and splatted all over! It's turning into quite the chair.

That's all folks.

a wonderful end.

Our vacation in Wisconsin is coming to an end. Tomorrow we leave this gorgeous green state of cheese and meat to head back to El Paso. I want to cry like a babay...but I can't wait to get Isabelle in her bed, my bed, and get back to our ruitine.
This trip back was so great; we got to partake in a few Friday night fish fries, drink plenty of whiskey and brandy old fashions, and enjoy our close friends and family. To top everything off my sister n law's wedding was yesterday. It was gorgeous, we all cried and danced till our feet were swollen. Sara and Josh had a swing band; and EVERYONE was on the dance floor :)Hopefully I will have some pictures soon. Our camera is no longer with us :( So I have been relying on friends n family the last few weeks and their cameras. Sara, was freaking gorgeous in her wedding dress, and just sparkled all day and night. Josh looked really handsome in his crisp linen outfit; everything was them down to a T. So congrats are in order to the newly wed couple. Love you Josh and Sara!!!!!!
I am off to repack our suitcases and say goodbye to the fam bam.

Sweat Memories.

Yesterday was my sister n law's wedding; it was a gorgeous day and it was a beautiful wedding. Along with wedding's comes the emotion and happiness I get when I remember how Jake and I were married and the reception we had.
Jake and I were married the weekend I graduated from basic training (from the Army Reserves.)I was wearing my uniform and he in a t-shirt and jeans. Sadly, he left one week later for his first tour for Iraq. When he came home, we had a big reception and an amazing romantic honey moon in northern Wisconsin. I wouldn't have had it any other way. I am definetley not the traditional bride. The moment that him and I shared with no one else around can only be in our thoughts and memories. Oh I know some people wanted it different, but that is why it was our wedding! Someday we will have a real ceremony with just immediate family, and of course, another reception/party to follow:)
So here are a few pics or our reception!
