28 months, how time flies!

She is growing so fast, right in front of my eyes. As these 8 weeks (or less) begin to get counted down I find myself not wanting to miss a thing. Tucking her in bed at night, bath time, lunch, etc...Soon my days will be filled with 2 little girls.
That's right two! We are having another princess...and I want to enjoy these last 2 months as much as I can.
Jake and I are so blessed to have such a good girl. At times she is trying but what 2 year old isn't? Over all she is so well mannered and a sweet girl. From asking to pray at bed time to her requests to 'please play' make my heart melt.
I love you sweet Isabelle. Don't grow too fast! Mommy is loving you just how you are right now.

'Still has the touch'

Okay, Okay I finally pulled the camera out. Haven't been in a picture taking mood with all the doctor appointments and such. A little update on our beautiful baby; G-O-O-D!
The baby is moving all parts of his(or her's) body like no tomorrow and the doctors are very up beat about not having many issues in the long run. I am still in the clear to have a regular delivery and the baby has some hair all ready. We got to see baby crossing his/her ankles which made us laugh, something Jake and Izzy do all the time. Baby is also 2.13 ounces. All the things the doctor had told us to be prepared for with a Spina Bifida baby are so minimal at this point. Our little one's outlook is good and we have God to thank for that.
Back to why I am posting today...Great Grandma Barb seems to be Isabelle's new buddy. It is the cutest thing. We stopped by my MOL's mom and dad yesterday and Isabelle played and talked like she was her best friend. It almost got a few tears coming down. Isabelle to be truthful doesn't know her great grandparents. In the past she's only seen them a couple of times per visit; yesterday she had so much fun though. The last 20 minutes we were there Isabelle was at the foot of her GG Barb's chair resting on the cushioned foot stool while she rubbed Izzy's back. Isabelle has been watching me get back rubs from Jake so she now asks for a 'massage.' So she asked Barb for one and just rested by her. It was darling. By the time we hit the highway Isabelle was sound asleep. Great Grandma still has the touch folks.
They say little kids know when someone is trying to hard and Great Grandma/pa have never been those grandparents. I think that has a lot to say. Kids can tell and it causes them to back off or not be interested in you if you act like that; well it payed off cause she knows her Bu-pa and GGma are now.

All right I am done bragging about my 'sweet' little Izzy. :)

A few short of 1,800 Miles

We made it to Wisconsin last Sunday night. It was a long drive and unfortunately Isabelle and I got sick. What can you do? We are all safe and here and just enjoying being home. My brother was such a relief for Jake seeing as all the driving would have been on him. Thank you Josiah! Here are a few pics I snapped, mostly of the flooding in Cairo, IL...We brought the lab top along which ended up being a big help at the really fussy times for Isabelle. Over all she did wonderful, and that is a big deal for 2 year old ya'll.

What I'm diggin'

Watch this please
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvPkUMRE7yg

So I heard a quote a while back that I think is great. We were talking in my bible study about life and this came up...
"A son is a son until he takes him a wife, a daughter is a daughter all her life."

That will get you thinking huh?

I miss my husband so when he is in the field training. He is working his butt off in the heat providing for us everyday.
We love you Jacob.

This is our wedding day!
ACU's and all!

2 days left

In 48 hours we will be in Dallas and on our way to Wisconsin. Is it that time all ready? How bitter sweet it is to be leaving our first home; BUT how exciting to see our family and friends and meet our team of Dr's. Isabelle and I have been bored this whole week with Jake gone and no play dates. Geez, no play dates makes a mommy n daughter not know what to do. So we've been outside a lot and getting ready for our trip. It has been nice to enjoy my little girl, when we return in the fall it will be with 2 children. Although my little girl has been anything but sweet the last week I am still soaking it up.
Our Flex is packed, and today is a major clean day. I am moving our desk out of baby's room and rearranging a bit.
Isabelle and I were in bed at 6:30 last night! We snuggled all night long in my bed.
Any who-have a fantastic weekend.
I will not be missing the Texas heat this summer...

28 weeks...and a Happy Mother's Day

So the 3rd trimester begins...back aches, lots of movement, and preparation for our little one.We leave in 5 days for Wisconsin! Just as the heat is picking up here we'll be enjoying the start of a Midwest spring.
As much as I enjoy being pregnant and feeling this little life inside of me kick and turn about I also am now starting to countdown these last couple of months. I am now having troubles sleeping; between tossing and turning and tinkling, well momma's not getting that straight 7 or 8 hours anymore. Thank goodness I have naps to fall back on. Then there is shortness of breath and the short term memory loss. I don't know who is worse these days the hubs or myself.
Isabelle and I have been falling asleep a lot lately to her favorite Disney Movies in our bed.
This little baby of mine feels like its going to kick its way out sometimes...ouch!
#2 moves a heck of a lot more than Isabelle did. I also have been getting a LOT of brackston hicks. I can't remember if they were this strong with Isabelle or not. I can get them just from laying down, doing dishes, a walk to the mailbox, anytime really, and sometimes it almost hurts my stomach gets so tight. Lately I have been getting up and walking around when they become so uncomfortable and it helps more than sitting just sitting there.
We have baby's swing set up for when we return and all of the baby stuff(bottles, clothes, blankets, etc...) is out in the room; we'll set it all up when we return. I don't like leaving the room unfinished but really what's the point in buying a dresser and setting it all up when we won't even be home until the earliest August...but the room is painted. :)
Hope you all are having a delightful Mother's day!
I know I am! I haven't lifted a finger yet today and thoroughly enjoyed my Krispy Kreme stop this morning....scrumptious.
Not to mention this pretty little thing...Jake did a little upgrade a month ago now...and here she is! He said it was 'about time.'

*Happy Mothers Day to the Grandma's too!*

Oh nelly get the check lists out

Take a look at these blasts from the pasts...how life changes in just a few short years!

May 14th is creeping up fast! I am an OCD freak when it comes to planning trips...with that said I literally have check lists of things I need to do, buy, and pack by Friday the 13th. Deep breath here.
Baby's suitcase is packed, Isabelle is 90% packed. Packing for a summer baby vs a winter baby is a bit more difficult but I have it figured out now. I have a pile started at the end of my bed for my suitcase. I am trying to pair jewelry with outfits and shoes.
I have to have Jake packed by this weekend because he'll be in the field next week and won't be back till Friday evening. So yea, the check lists are out.
I will also need to pre pack the new ride to get an idea of how much room we will or won't have prior to take off. I am going to miss my house and my bed but am so excited to get up to Wisconsin. We have a handful of appointments all ready in place and we are ready. My birth plan will be put into place, we'll be meeting the pediatric neurosurgeon and team at Children's as well. We'll get a look at the NICU and the hospital where I'll be delivering. YAY!
Isabelle will soon be running around with the her friend's and aunts and uncles...
as well as us enjoying a Midwest spring and summer.

Well I am off to start Jake's suitcase...and then to the park with Iz.
Happy Tuesday.
