Bangs n Lashes...look out boys...(oh who am I kidding?)

This momma got a little trim and I now have bangs; I haven't had bangs like this since I was a little girl! Oh man, my girlfriend says I look more like a 'mom.' As long as it's a hot mom then okay, I do not want to look like a simple housewife and mother, B-O-R-I-N-G. I also stepped out of my comfort zone and let my girlfriend put false eyelashes on me! She is practicing and needed some models...so my eyelids stepped up.
I am loving them. They came in handy with our family pictures we got done yesterday (which were lovely and can not wait to share!) I don't even need mascara, double snap ladies.

2 months young

Well Lydia Mae at 2 months you are weighing in at 11 lb's 10 oz's and 23 inches.
You are a sweet little girl that now knows the difference between a bottle and momma. I am finding it hard to give you a bottle, you make it very clear who you prefer. You sleep so well, no complaints from me in that department. And well since you are breast fed, you're definitely not waking daddy up. So he's pretty happy bout that one. If you go down between 9-10 you only wake up once during the night. If you go down sooner then 2 times, however you fall right to sleep in a drunken fullness. It's cute.
Daddy and I are being extra careful in the 'rocking' department. We made that mistake with your big sister; you don't seem to mind though. As long as you are in mom or dad's arms and cuddled you are just fine.
When you are alert, diaper changed, and have a full belly we all better have some time for you. You do not like to just sit or lay; you want someone talking to you. Your smiles and coo's are daily and they really come out at these points. Isabelle is quick to talk to you and entertain you which you love. You are lucky to have such a sweet big sister.
I can not beleive how fast these last 2 months have flown by; you fit so well into our crazy, little family.
Love you honey bee,
Mommy.

a piece of grandpa

Before I left Wisconsin I was able to get some things out of my grandparents basement. My grandfather was an antique collector/dealer his whole life. Now that he is passed we are all able to display and share things that are coming to life from being in the basement. Here are some things I choose and now decorate my home, a little piece of my grandpa I smile and remember daily.

Miss Isabelle's new bed.

catching a breath

We are still here, just being busy!
Recently we made some friends with our neighbors across the street so Isabelle has been having some play dates. I don't even know what to talk about today, seems like time just fly's by now. Both girls are well. Isabelle is still a little monster but oh well, she has her good days and bad. What can you do right?

Here are a few pics of my precious girls.
We are off to Jake's battalion family day. They actually are fun! All three of us girls will be napping together later this afternoon.

Patience

My sweet Isabelle is gone and has been replaced with a monster! From tantrums of screaming and kicking her legs, to publicly voicing what she wants and doesn't like is driving this mommy up a wall. I find myself at least once a day walking away from her and closing my bedroom door to say a quick prayer and to just breath. She is trying our patience and we are trying our best to calmly discipline her. Any tips any one?
I feel like we have tried it all. Boy being a SAHM is no joke! I love my girls, but Lordy, Lord...do I love my quiet time. This afternoon I am visiting a neighbor who has a little girl Isabelle's age. I think we are going to become good friends. She lives just across the street from us and we are having a girls afternoon, with snacks and some drinks with a few other mom's! Jake will get a brake to watch his football and so will mommy. Thank you Lord.
Our weekend's seem to fly by all to fast. I didn't do anything that I wanted to do this weekend except for work out. Off to feed the lil' piglet.

It's all worth it though when I come out of another room to find this!

My flower pet

And a fancy hello to this princess

Lydia has the most expressions I have ever seen a baby give. One minute she's smiling and the next she can look so upset, like in this picture...

Sweet Crazy Girl

Our little Isabelle is a sweet, sweet monster. Can someone tell me when the calm child will re-appear? This little girl is on the G-O 24/7. She doesn't like to listen to her Daddy, yet is such a Daddy's girl...are you catching on to where this is going? Yea, me thinks Daddy doesn't lay the law down so much. Which means when she gets up between 4-5 am and wants to sleep in our bed, it's Daddy that has to deal with her. I can not put her to bed or she screams for daddy! However, she is so quick to give you such a big hug and kiss and tell you good morning at 5 am. Little snot :)It also means a fight to the finish when it is bed time. She doesn't want to miss a thing; and no longer am I allowed to sing to her or say our prayers. It's all D-A-D.

What else can I say about our 31 month old...she now pretends to breastfeed her baby and scolds the baby's when they do something 'wrong.' She likes to tell us when she farts and has to poop. She has a loud voice like her momma so we are working on politely saying 'excuse me, I farted' or 'I need to go #2.' She loves to get her picture taken and skype on the computer.
Airplanes whether in the sky or grounded get a scream out of her every time. A free way right by our home takes us past the UPS and Fed-ex plains. There is also a big park we go to about once a week and the planes take off/land right by it. I have to stop and stare myself. Since our most recent plane ride she now asks if I would like to go on the plane with her. Yea Isabelle, ya got 300 bucks sitting around for that adventure? :)
Movies she loves: Peter Pan, Shrek(s), Toy Story(s), and Snow White (still!.)
Thanks to my mother upon request Isabelle would like with honey or chocolate milk. Yep, a spoonful of honey is her favorite. So mom, when you read this, could you please send us some of the good stuff from home-NOT this stuff from Wal-mart.
Food wise she's pretty good. The key with this one has always been to not let her snack before a meal. Still not the biggest meat eater, but bacon she'll devour.
I would have to say my favorite about Isabelle is hearing her sing. When I walk past her bedroom and her sweet voice is singing Jesus loves the little 'chil-ren' to her baby or blue bells, cockle shells, eevy, ivy, over....now that's fun stuff. She also knows country songs. Crazy Girl by the Eli Young band she'll say is momma's song. A Little More Country than that by Easton Corbon she'll say is daddy's song. She also knows the chorus'. Bragging on this one; she knows 3 little birds Bob Marley. Now that is one cool kid ya'll.

Mourning the loss;

of my 2 closest friends. I seem to be dealing with it but I just don't know how long I go on with out them!
