just being girls

So we've been doing a pretty good job of staying busy with out daddy home these last 8 days...I finally got a camera! I do not like it all but, I am not complaining. We cashed in our points on USAA and got a camera. Someday I will have a nice, expensive one like the professionals. But, since I am so lousy with electronics this will do.

Here are the girls these last few days...I just love having girls!

I am missing fall so much! I love Texas weather, but we have had no fall at all. A couple of 70 degree days and that is it! All 80's, so does anyone want to send me and the girls a box of leaves??? :) A girl can dream, right?

The best big sister

Isabelle is such a good sister, we couldn't ask for someone more sweet for Lydia. Taking on a roll as 'sister' has been the most heart warming thing for Jake and I to see. She might be a wild child, but when it comes to her little sister, Izzy gets an A+. The other day I was in the middle of dinner and Lydia needed to eat. I was able to warm up a bottle and with out any issue, Isabelle fed her. I was very careful to make sure there was a soft place all around Isabelle, in case Lydia started to lean, and I was peeking my head over the counter every minute to make sure all was well. Every time I did, all was okay.
With daddy in the field for the next 11 days straight, I will have my hands full...but I will also have my little helper right beside me.

She's getting so big!

My Isabelle is just getting so big, so fast. Her and I had a fun day on Saturday. We went downtown where there was a sidewalk chalk festival going on. Isabelle got her face painted and a tattoo for the first time. I don't think I have seen that girl sit so still in a LONG time. We took advantage of Ft Bliss's shuttle bus so we didn't have to worry about parking. Boy did Isabelle love the bus, she thought it was the coolest thing. Here are a few pics of our day.

Happy Anniversary...#5

This Sunday is our Anniversary! We have a nice fun weekend ahead of us and I am so grateful to have my hubby here to spend it with. (Normally he's in the field or deployed!) Any who...I am so in love with this man and can not wait for many more years to come.

I love you Jacob.

Isabelle and her new girlfriend, who lives just across the street. Her name is Gina, and we love to say it. The girls are wild together.
We caught our girls playing dress up with Gina's swim suits the other day.

i'll call her 'Lucille'

I finally, finally got my sewing machine! She's a beauty. A brother 25 stitch, so far she's awesome. Here is a picture of Isabelle's curtains I made. I found the pink and brown material at Hobby Lobby, on sale...in total these curtains were only 5 dollars to make. Yay.
Next is our front window, in our 'other' living room. I am determined to get them finished manana.

Peek-A-Boo

Jake's Battery (Platoon) was at the hospital near our house on Friday, supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Soldier's walked around the Hospital, and had their Howitzer (tank) out for display. So Isabelle and I decided to jump in the driver seat where daddy sits. It was cool! The last time I was that close to Jake's gun(that's what she said), I was big and prego with Isabelle so I didn't get to into it. This time it was fun, at first Isabelle was scared but then she got real into it.

she's been called a porcelain doll

Yep, they said it about Isabelle and now my sweet girl Lydia has been called the same: 'porcelain doll.' Too sweet.
Lydia is going threw a growth spurt, she is sleeping longer at night and I am making more milk! I have been having so much more milk lately so the freezer is getting stocked. Pretty cool. You can see the little roles on her thighs, I just love me a chunky baby. I am randomly calling her my pork chop...

Thanks grandma!

A shout out to Grandma Kim for sending the girl's some packer gear! We don't have Lydia in her's...but we'll show her off in her pink packer onsie's soon enough...till then here is this other cutie!

Check out those killer heels, if mama can't wear them at least my wild girl is rockin' them.
