Fall is here
Hello there readers,
Isn't this one just a wonderful season? October is here, fall colors are everywhere, that means more home cooked, soulful, meals, yummy smelling candles, getting a good arm work out while raking, cool morning (or evening) runs(walks), and actually enjoying it before realizing you have to start Christmas shopping. :)
We just finished a scrumptious dinner. All fresh veggies from the farmers market which including zucchini, red pepper, onion, one small thinly sliced red potato, and a hot red pepper, sauteed in butter; seasoned with sea salt, black pepper, and a few dashes of red pepper flakes. DELICIOUS.
Then I browned a New York strip in butter, same frying pan I cooked the veggies.
Steak was from Jake's buppa, you know the one that bought us the box from Wisconsin.
Not a big red meat eater, so a quarter of that steak was plenty. We ate a softened flour tortilla with the veggies and steak.
And the girls? Well Lydia went to bed at 6:45 and Isabelle was watching Rio in the back round...but for dinner they had oatmeal. Not fancy, but perfect for a picker eater and teething baby. Doctored up with milk, butter, brown sugar, and of course cinnamon. A thick slice of french bread and they were happy campers.
What's on the menu this week at your house?
Tomorrow we are off to Nashville, where we will have an Ortho consult for Miss Lydia's foot surgery. Hopefully SOON...oh how she wants to walk. :)
We plan on taking full advantage of the day.
Here is a pic of the front of our home here on post.
Isabelle loves the orange lights so I felt the need to share.
Happy Hump Day
